Case study 1 - Niall the market trader
Niall is self employed market trader aged 39. Five years ago Niall's marriage broke down and he became divorced and moved to rented accommodation. His wife and 2 young children remained in the home.
Niall has since found a new wife and had a baby. He was left over with a lot of debt from loans and credit cards from his first marriage, which were under control at the time as both he and his wife were working at the time.
When Niall left the marital home he had to find new accommodation for himself and he also had to provide financial support for his children to his first wife.

Rajinder graduated from university four years ago with a degree in computer engineering. He found a good job working in the software development industry.

Case study 3 - Adrian and Leah
Adrian is a social worker and Leah is a full-time cleaner. They have three grown up children who have recently left home and got married.
Adrian and Leah have had debt problems for years. Once the credit card bills became too much, they settled for a consolidation loan. However, the loan did not solve the problem and further loans and credit cards were sought, in the hope that Adrian could increase his hours and Leah could find better paid work.
